Quite possibly the best pop album of the 1990s. Own it. Cherish it.

Library of Congress photos @ flickr
The US Library of Congress apparently sits on a huge photographic archive. Part of it is in the public domain, because copyrights were not renewed or were never in place. Flickr is adding this part of the LoC collection to their site. Browsing through the photos offers a breathtaking look into pre-WWII America.

Things
Things is the first GTD-style application that is so simple that I actually use it – and the first to grasp what GTD is all about, if you ask me. It is elegant and just does what it should do. The screenshot to your left shows 0.8.2, but Things has moved on to 0.8.7 since. It is a public beta now, so do yourself a favour and grab a copy. If you’re on Mac OSX, that is.

Not from me (I wish) but from Basia Bulat, who won in the ‘Most Unpronoucable name’ category of the 2007 Bucky Awards. And from Said the Whale, who was the proud winner in the ‘Best new band name’ category. Check out the free EP on their web site. Listen to all the winners in the CBC Radio 3 podcast.
